Who the heck is Sara?

I develop innovative and expressive projects across visual communication, UX/UI, and industrial design. My work spans a wide range of scales and mediums, from brand identity systems and animated digital campaigns to physical installations and product design.

My background in psychology and a deep interest in research and design thinking shape my approach to every project. I believe the strongest designs are rooted in understanding individuals and communities, their needs, their context, and the friction standing between them and a better experience.

I recently graduated in January 2026 from the University of Notre Dame, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Design with a concentration in Visual Communication. I’m currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area and open to relocating, particularly to the West Coast and DFW area.

My design philosophy

My approach as a designer is rooted in research, reasoning, and understanding. I’m passionate about exploring the ways in which design permeates every aspect of our lives, making it a profound and invaluable tool for expression, innovation, and connection. I strive to create strong, informed narratives, and work with critical attention to craft and execution.

Learning holds a great significance in my life, and I am always aiming to continue evolving as a designer and individual. Therefore, feedback is extremely important to me, and I firmly believe that being continuously open and accepting of external perspectives, is the key to improvement, as well as the foundation for true human understanding.

PHILOSOPHY AND THEOLOGY

A bit about me...

Who the heck am I?

I grew up absolutely obsessed with the sport of Fencing, especially since BOTH of my parents were coaches. I moved between the Bay Area and NYC throughout my adolescene, competing internationally and eventually getting recruited to fence Div I at the University of Notre Dame.

As a kid, I was always crafty, but I never saw myself as "creative". I was a psychology major when I took my first design class, and I fell in love with the subject and never turned back. I ended up retiring from fencing after 17 years to focus on building up the newfound artistic love within myself.

Looking back at four years of design experience spent under mentorship by experienced designers across different disciplines and philosophies, I am proud of the designer I am, and I believe in the good that I can bring to the
